What is Oavrian Safe®Test?
Cancersafe produces a new form of screening for detecting ovarian cancers. Ovarian cancer is often called a "silent killer" because many times there are no symptoms untill the disease has progressed to an advanced stage. Early symptoms of ovarian cancer are often mild, making this disease difficult to detect.
Why do Ovarian Safe® Test?
People who should take this test to detect and monitor the development of ovarian cancers regularly are:
- People who have blood relatives (grandmother, mother, sisters, aunts) on either your mother’s or father’s side of the family who had breast cancer diagnosed before age 50
- There is both breast and ovarian cancer in one’s family, particularly in a single individual.
- Women in the family have had cancer in both breast.
- People belonging to Ashkenazi Jewish family (family from Eastern European).
- A man in the family has had breast cancer.
How to collect the samples?
A simple blood sample from arm is enough.
